Dear Friends of Local Views,

I just read Larry’s letter to my Mom.  She wanted me to thank him for all his help. She also sends Larry and Joanne this message - "There are few things in life that are precious enough to have long lasting memories, take the time to rest and enjoy, our blessings are sent out to your family".

I will add that it is nice to see the illegal building etc., at #35 Chestnut Stump Rd. exposed.

The owner of that house humiliated my parents a few years ago at a Town meeting where he and many other miserable neighbors conducted themselves like they were coming to watch a public hanging of my parents.........it was a complete disgrace and they all should be ashamed of themselves.

The next door neighbor, who was once the President of the Fort Salonga Civic Association, came out in full effect to oppose the house on the acre since it would obstruct his view and privacy. As if my parents have an acre there for his viewing enjoyment. This particular man's wife went up and down the block getting people to sign in opposition to my parents. She was out right caught and confronted because she went to one of the older residents with a written letter (opposing my parents) and coerced her to sign it while sitting for a cup of tea. This elder woman's son-in-law was beside himself when he found out and put in a call to this meddling woman, who resides at #32 Chestnut Stump Rd.

Getting back to #35 Chestnut Stump Rd. - my parents and myself, call him the "upper west side man" since he came to the meeting and said that he comes from the upper west side and he was concerned about the little, smaller properties on the block. He added that he has difficulty when he brings his horses out for a walk around the corner where my parent’s home is. You see, Larry, the owner of #35 seems to believe that the world revolves around his life. He appears as if he is a special individual.  He was nasty to my Mom. She blasted him while accompanied by a police officer for one incident. He instructed a landscaping truck to dispose of their waste in the woods on my parent’s property. In another incident my parents had to call the police due to the dumping of debris in front of their property.  The man at #35 is a disgusting individual.  I want to see him humiliated just as he has done to my parents, FOR NO REASON AT ALL. There are some people in this world who seem untouchable just like the criminal board of Smithtown. OH, IT IS JUST DIFFICULT TO REMAIN CALM. I give my parents a lot of credit. If at any time you want to forward any of my responses, you have my permission.

Once again, I thank Larry for his help. He is a remarkable man. Congratulations to he and his wife.
