For your information. The Verizon Public Access Station

Channel 27 for Smithtown, and other Public Access Stations

on Verizon do not list in their guide the schedule of
of what will be shown.  All listing are marked “to be
announced”. Scrolling back or forward on the guide for
the current date or future dates, the announcement is
the same: “to be announced”.   Even if you are currently
viewing a BZA or Planning Dept. airing, the guide
shows no listing of this aired event.

I called our Town Board this morning and spoke to Ed
Wehrheim about this and he advised to me to call
the legal dept. at Town Hall and speak to Matt Jacobowski,

tel. #360-7570 and address this problem to him.

It is for him to resolve with the station and Verizon.

Currently, the only airing televised on channel 27 are
repeats of the BZA Meeting of July 22nd, 2008 and also
a planning Board Meeting of July 16th. This is it for several days
now. Fill-in time on the station shows various photographs with
sound track of sights around Smithtown, Parks, Water Views,
Public Buildings, etc. Hopefully Matt Jacobowski will get back
to me about resolving this problem.  I am unable at this
time to understand if the Meeting of July 15, 2008 was, or is, being
televised. Smithtown is not an exclusion, all other Public Access
Stations do not list a schedule and timetable for viewers to tune
in or record for future viewing.
