A special ceremony took place on the shoreline of the Sunken Meadow State Park as the Regional Plan Association released for the first time its 'Nissequogue River Stewardship Action Plan'.
The 40 square mile watershed is one of 33 in the Long Island plan, to protect and restore the River. An assortment of town, county and state officials commended the work and pledged to implement the plan.
